Falafel are commonly served in a pitta bread or flatbread. The falafel balls are topped with salads, pickled vegetables, hot sauce and drizzled with tahini-based sauces. Falafel balls may also be eaten alone as a snack or served as part of a mezze.

| Cooking Instructions: 1 Empty contents of sachet into a mixing bowl 2 Add 170ml of cold water, mix well and leave to stand for 3-4 mins 3 Spoon into golf-ball size nuggets and fry in hot oil for 20-30 secs or until golden brown 4 Drain off excess oil and serve warm Falafel Serving Suggestions Falafel is fantastic for lunch or as a snack. It is also great as an appetiser or part of a mezze platter. Try in a pitta with tahini, cucumber, tabouleh, lettuce, tomato and roasted red pepeprs. For a healthy option, serve as part of a mixed salad and use Al'Fez houmous or harissa as a condiment. Make an authentic Tahini Dressing for your Falafel Mix 1/2 jar (135g) of Al'Fez Tahini with 1/4 cup of cold water, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, 1 crushed garlic clove and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Garnish with flat leaf parsley and serve. |
