A delicious and wholesome pancake treat the whole family will enjoy. Buckwheat which is the main ingredient is not a grain but part of the rhubarb family of plants. Full of nature's goodness, buckwheat is considered to be the best known source of high biological protein in the plant kingdom. The buckwheat has been milled in the traditional method, blended to an original recipe and immediately packed and sealed to ensure the best possible freshness, flavour and nutritive value.

Preparation and Usage Cooking Instructions 1. Empty contents of the packet into a bowl and add 240 ml (8 fl.oz) cold water, 90 ml (3 fl.oz) milk, 3 eggs (lightly beaten) or equivalent smooth batter). 2. Lightly grease frying pan and preheat. 3. Pour batter into frying pan to desired size and cook over low-medium heat. 4. When the edge of the pancake appears cooked and bubbles have burst, turn over and cook other side until golden brown. Vegan option 1. Empty contents of the packet into a bowl and add 450 ml (15 fl.oz) water, 60ml (2 fl.oz) oil or vegetable margarine. Stir all ingredients into a smooth batter. *Optional: In a separate bowl mix 3 teaspoons Orgran No Egg™ with 6 tablespoons water -add to pancake batter and mix well. 2. Lightly grease frying pan and preheat. 3. Pour batter into frying pan to desired size and cook over low-medium heat. 4. When the edge of the pancake appears cooked and bubbles have burst, turn over and cook other side until golden brown. Instructions Serving Suggestions: For sweet toppings: serve with fruit salad, pour over with maple syrup or honey or serve with ice cream. For savoury toppings: serve with sautéed mushrooms, leaf salad, tomato and cheese.
